High priority of using laser measuring systems in mechatronical food equipment has been demonstrated. Peculiar features of laser location of food engineering objects have been discussed. Mathematic models for illuminating laser light are given. Peculiarities of photometric measurement method are discussed. Mathematic models of dissipated laser light are given, the influence of light background and physical properties of media on parameters of receiving signal are analysed. The ways of constructing laser locators for food engineering on the basis of modern semiconductor instruments are demonstrated. The basis characteristics of laser locators are given. Laser locator with linear sweep for mechatronical equipment of food production has been studied.
