Demolition of material structure is connected with energy interaction of energy source and breakable material. Energy transfer is possible either as impulse of force at direct contact, or as a radiation quantum. The paper analyzes the basic lines of development of milling equipment, which shows that owing to improvement of constructional material technologies more and more vibro-stress of impulse excitation is used in apparatus. It allows not only reduce power consumption for milling but materially extend reliability of machines and apparatus, cut down repair idle times, which means enhancement of productivity.
