Iodine deficiency is the actual problem of the world population, leading to disruption of vital processes in the body, not of pregnancy, reduces mental and physical development. Given that iodized salt is only partially solve the problem, the main effective in preventing iodine deficiency is iodized food. Scientifically justified the use of aquatic organisms as a functional ingredient that can enrich traditional foods, particularly protein-vegetable pasta with activated water.
