in batch-type potato peelers
Alexeev G.V., Mosina N.A.
Up-to-date peeling of vegetable roots and tubers, potatoes in particular, is accomplished in batch-type machines the interior of which is coated with abrasive. Such coating often becomes greasy, cannot guarantee proper quality of peeling and increase groundless raw materials consumption. One of the ways to solve the problem is to apply intermittent abradant coating produced by galvanostegy. Nowadays there exist no scientifically grounded recommendations on topology of such coatings.
